| dc.description.abstract | When President Samia Hassan assumed office following unexpected death of President Magufuli it was unclear how far she would continue with his policies and follow his style of leadership and how far she would develop a new distinctive approach to government. This book examines the first year of the Hassan presidency. It details the various ways in which the new administration continued many of the strategies initiated by the previous regime but made significant modifications to their implementation.
